Tap into dancers’ rhythm and creativity
Tap classes at Spear Dance Center combine classic techniques and modern expression. This style unites movement and sound, emphasizing the rhythmic aspect of dance.
Exploration of dynamics, spatial directions, and rhythms as they affect movement quality will be included. Improving sound quality, proper execution of steps, improvisation, and musicality will also be added to the respective level of each class. A tap vocabulary and the relationship between tap steps and music will be skills even a beginner will acquire. Various tap styles will be introduced and explored at the discretion of the teacher.
